About Sophie
Someone who believes presence can be painted.
Hi, I'm Sophie — an artist based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, who loves to paint and capture the small moments of everyday life.
In 2017, I painted my first piece — inspired by a simple thought: What if a friend was always there — someone who listens, who sits beside you? Not a distant icon on a wall, but someone who'd pull up a chair.
Over the years I've made thousands of illustrations — turned into postcards, stickers, tees, and totes. They've found their way to hospital rooms, new homes, office desks, family hands. I still believe: a small illustration can carry warmth into corners where words can't reach.

From the Studio

My First Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur
In a city where Malay, Chinese, and Indian cultures blend together — different languages, faces, and ways of life. But once people stepped inside the gallery, those differences quietly faded.

Covered by Hong Kong Media — Seen with Care
At the Hong Kong exhibition, local media wrote about the work through a cultural lens. Not to define it — but to truly understand it. Across languages and cities, the quiet emotions in these paintings were still seen.

From Old Homestead to Cultural Landmark — Collected by Yago Music
Thank you to Yaqin of Yago Music for adding this piece to their collection. Looking closer, I learned that Yaqin's family home carries a remarkable history — a scholar's residence with deep roots. Yago Music has been around for 70 years, growing from Taiwan's largest instrument factory into a beloved cultural and arts destination. If you're ever in Penghu, it's worth a visit.
